Highland Park

Highland Park is known for several attractions including a downtown shopping district and the Ravinia Festival. Ravina is an open-air pavilion seating 3,200, which hosts a range of music genre concerts in the summers. It has been the summer home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra since 1936. Located 23 miles north of downtown Chicago, Highland Park is known for its recreational amenities and downtown district. Residents enjoy two public beaches, a dog beach, and numerous landmarks including homes designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. A highlight is the North Shore Yacht Club, a not-for-profit membership organization for sailors, kayakers, power boaters, and stand-up paddle boarders.
